A Meadowcroft Dyeworks handpainted sock yarn inspired by the color palette in Rembrandt van Rijn’s painting “The Prodigal Son” – rich roasted coffee browns, bold cinnabar reds, rusty brown-oranges, and sun-dappled golden yellows, each with subtle variegations that create complex textures. The 100% merino wool is luxuriously soft.
This colorway pools; that is to say, it’s not uncommon for the same color to stack on top of itself from row to row, or even to create a spiraling effect especially when working in the round.
