This Meadowcroft Dyeworks handpainted sock yarn contains a full spectrum of deceptively complex and variegated hues: cinnabar and garnet with hints of purple and olive; rusty red-oranges, bittersweet and marigold; gold-glittering chartreuses and olives blending into spring-leaf and spruce greens; teal and indigo, Caribbean blue and cornflower; and a bottomless aubergine with hints of red-brown and blue-green. The high-twist four-ply retains the squishiness that makes merino wool so irresistible without the scrunchy texture that high-nylon blends sometimes have.
This colorway pools; that is to say, it’s not uncommon for the same color to stack on top of itself from row to row, or even to create a spiraling effect especially when working in the round. We’re working away from colorways that pool. Unless this is in-stock, it can only be ordered by an approved wholesale account, and then only in quantities of 6 or more. There’s no minimum order if in stock.
