A Meadowcroft Dyeworks handpainted silk blend yarn inspired by the color palette in Rembrandt van Rijn’s painting “The Prodigal Son” – rich roasted coffee browns, bold cinnabar reds, rusty brown-oranges, and sun-dappled golden yellows, each with subtle variegations that create complex textures.
A yarn for yarn lovers, this shimmering single high twist is spun from 70% superwash merino and 30% silk. It is as soft as soft can be, and the brilliance & luminescence of color are incomparable.
This colorway pools; that is to say, it’s not uncommon for the same color to stack on top of itself from row to row, or even to create a spiraling effect especially when working in the round.
