This Meadowcroft Dyeworks handpainted silk blend yarn is variegated with the colors of nasturtium flowers: clear, sunny yellows, marigold orange, cinnabar red, burgundy and fuchsia, set off against a background of dark purply brown. This is a very special single ply yarn made of 70% SW merino & 30% silk. It feels softer than any yarn I’ve felt before, and owing to the silk, displays color with a brilliance and translucence that’s spectacular.
This colorway pools; that is to say, it’s not uncommon for the same color to stack on top of itself from row to row, or even to create a spiraling effect especially when working in the round. We’re working away from colorways that pool. Unless this is in-stock, it can only be ordered by an approved wholesale account, and then only in quantities of 6 or more. There’s no minimum order if in stock.
