This Meadowcroft Dyeworks handpainted sock yarn combines flame orange, bittersweet and cinnabar with mint and lime greens, touches of black and forest, violet and deep merlot. This is a very special single ply yarn made of 70% SW merino & 30% silk.
It feels softer than any yarn I’ve felt before, and owing to the silk, displays color with a brilliance and translucence that’s spectacular.
This colorway pools; that is to say, it’s not uncommon for the same color to stack on top of itself from row to row, or even to create a spiraling effect especially when working in the round.
